Perry Rhodan Marco Polo from Revell

Die Perry Rohdan Marco Polo ist von Revell und kommt im Doppelpack mit der SOL. Die Kombi wurde 1999 aufgelegt.

Die Bestandsaufnahme. Wenig Teile aber es wird viel Arbeit. Der Bausatz ist auch einzeln zu erhalten und wird für ca. 50€ bzw. das Doppel für 80€-100€ angeboten.

Eine von insgesamt 3 Platinen. Bei dieser wird ein Rundumlicht simuliert.

Unfortunately, the fit is very bad. In some cases, gaps with 1.5 mm were created, which then have to be filled.

A test of whether the sealing of the gaps with superglue works was successful.

Sanding wasn't a big problem either after the superglue hardened.

In order to get straight lines with the drill, which has a diameter of only 0.23mm, the drill holes for the windows were pre-drilled in the upper dome.

Wie viele es am Ende sein werden kann noch nicht vorhergesagt werden. Es werden aber sehr viele.

Since the gaps could not be properly filled in some places, lines were laid over them with enamelled copper wire.

The gaps at the connections are also barely visible. After completion, the filled gaps will no longer be recognizable.

Alle 3500 Fenster sind vorgestochen und müssen nun mit einem 0,23mm Bohrer nachgebohrt werden.

After drilling, of course, the light guides have to be cut, inserted and glued.

Since the holes are very tight, gluing in will be very difficult. Each row and each light guide must be glued individually. (good to see in the video)

For the keris of the blue LEDs, the inside had to be deepened a bit. A sure instinct was called for here, as the material was very thin.

So that no light from the LED shines through here (as can be clearly seen here), it had to be properly primed and painted black matt.

Mittelteile wurden nun abgeklebt um später die extra gemischte blaue Farbe aufzutragen.

The first layer of white paint has already been applied. Now this is masked off in places.

The blue was mixed on with 3 different colors.

The contrast with white is very good. Now the complete masking is removed again.

The middle parts have also been given the blue shade. The white decals will find their place there later.

Um auch hier ein Farbenspiel zu erhalten, wurden die erhobenen Querstreben in einer anderen Farbe lackiert.

The threading and fixing of the light guides has started. It is really a game of patience.

Slowly it goes to the electronics. The running light board should represent an all-round light.

Bevor kein Platz mehr für die Montage der LEDs ist, werden diese Rundum LEDs inkl. Platine noch eingearbeitet. Auch die Halterung für den Getriebemotor der die Antennen-Drehung bewirkt wird gleich eingepasst.
